Focke Wolf FW190 Parts Set & Plan by Dave Platt

One of aviation history's true masterpieces, the Focke Wolf FW190 has always translated well as an RC model, and in 1/5 scale it is simply magnificent, both to admire on the ground and to handle in flight.

Any version from the A-5 thru A-9, F or G series can be made from the kit. Our prototype above, the top Scale Masters airplane of 1985, is built as an A-8. Either the latter (blown) canopy shown, or the more common "flat" canopy is available. Using our normal, strong but light wood structure, balance is not a problem, and the model does not need the two to four pounds of nose weight required by glass-and-foam kits.

SPECIFICATIONS: Scale 1:5.2 (2.3" = 1') Wingspan 79-1/4". Wing area 1,042 sq. ins. Weight fully equipped 17-20 lbs. Flying speed approx. 80 mph. Engine needed: .90 to 1.8 cu. in. glo 2-cycle.
