Following good interest in our 120" Tomboy that debuted at Old Warden in July, we are now producing a 72" Tomboy . Based on the original FF plan outlines and profiles, but fully redesigned for RC and the loads that brings.
The fuselage is 3/8" sq balsa and the wing is now a one piece multi-spar design with twin dihedral braces and built up sheet trailing edge.
Suitable for 40 size 4 strokes or electric motors - we used an AXI 4120/14.
What is in the box?
The 72" Tomboy Parts Set includes 26 wing ribs, block wing tips, 14 tailplane ribs, 2 center ribs in 3/16" balsa and tailplane tips, 2 formers in liteply, 2 off 1/4" Birch ply bulkheads - one ic and one electric, plus an electric mount/battery box, landing gear plate, 2 dihedral braces in Birch ply, shaped fin components and rudder - 3/8" balsa, various gussets, 'instrument panel' and cabin/wing seats, plywood RC tray with cut-outs, plus 1/4" shaped infill sheeting for fuselage sides, tail plane mounts and also a 1/4" balsa sub-fin and strengthener.
